Design Process

I chose to create an alien that can change its skin color under different moods. My sketch was constructed using simple geometric shapes, such as circles and squares. The color changes follow the mouseX and mouseY value. In the final sketch, I combined my head with Lila's torso and Shristi's legs.

Reflection

It is a new experience for me to try to tranfer sketches from Illustrator to p5.js. I searched around for converters that can translate SVG. to p5.js codes. I found it but still encountered a lot of problems in the process. I found out that for some reason, the exported SVG. file from Illustrator only contained one part of the sketch at a time. I tried multiple ways to export it but still couldn’t understand what went wrong. Therefore, the final sketch didn’t look as well.
